Since decorating my house and titivating my storage in the kitchen it seems my dinner set is looking decidedly shabby and very very bland with its pure white look.
So over the last week or so I have been looking at striking out in the kitchen and being bolder on the colour scheme front of my crockery.
Initially I thought that being bold on the one wall and having it painted bright red had to be the only thing that could be bold but I was wrong.
Our kitchen/diner is a fairly light room and the units and tiles all being white really does help to bounce the light round so sticking with white crockery is going to be a thing of the past.
When we finally get round to replacing our dinnerware I am going to go super bold and am aiming for bold red with white in there too, I am not 100% sure on the pattern or no pattern aspect but have really fallen in love with the ones above and can’t decide between them all, although my husband is a fan of really big bowels instead of the more shallow bowls on offer so that might have cut down the original 6 sets I love to 4.
I think my favourite set is the mixed pattern Living Set from Homebase called Simplicity which has a different red pattern on each of the types of crockery which I think it’s rather quirky and rather like my slightly odd taste in the matching but unmatching style that I am known for.
Although never one to rush into rash buying I am still looking but think that I might have just found my bold statement crockery now here’s to becoming bolder and brightening my dinnerware!
