I can often be found trying to source a bargain and this year with the Christmas dinner happening at home I was in need of some reasonably priced items to make my table a little bit more festive than on a standard day. So recently when I was challenged via Poundland to see if I could decorate an area in my house for £25 and make it festive I thought this would be a fantastic idea!
Now my kitchen is already red and so when I went in store and spotted these rather nice poppy trimmed plates and bowels at Poundland I fell in love. I know this may make me sounds bad but my previous plates are all plain white and chipped .. it had been on my list to do for some time to look at getting some others but at least these will do the job perfectly for my Christmas day!
Avoiding real candles with my excitable toddler we opted for festive pot place markers (mine apparently is the Santa) and we got these lovely cute little felt coasters in a 4 pack.
So everything you see on this table cost £25 and I think if your on budget this is a lovely way to mark the festive feast … simple yet reasonably priced and the good news is it’s all reusable so it’s not just for one day it’s for many more after it so in my book that’s a bargain.
I have to say having ticked this job off my Christmas list so easily I will now be found with the Christmas cake reclining .. with my halo polished! …. OK maybe I will still be in the corner wrapping presents!
What will your festive table hold this year? … mine will also have crackers … although these are kept out the way of the toddler till the time or we would have non left!

Oh wow, that looks amazing! I love Poundland but that looks so much more expensive than £25! x
awww thanks Donna, I am so pleased with it and the plates and bowls for £1 each is fantastic!
