To some people a garden shed is not an attractive prospect to spend some time in and in fact for most it’s a dumping ground for the household and garden detritus but when I saw the competition hosted on the Ana Mum Dairy on designing a secret shed my mind has gone wild with ideas on just how I can make this space my own!
I currently have 2 sheds in my garden, both full to the rafters of stuff that we might need one day, yet the day never comes so maybe its time to throw it all out and use the much-needed space for myself?
Working from home and having a little corner of a room does drive me to distraction and I often work from the sofa instead, however I have always craved a full-blown office … not just any office but an office fit for someone with OCD tendencies who has a passion for paperclips and all stuff stationary!
I would love storage of varying sizes, a clean and practical desk but also an office with some personality!
It has to be filled with furniture with personality and warmth so wooden classic furniture is a must along with fairly contemporary twists like the lighting.
Muted tones and warm browns with a hint of a pink might work for this quiet space, after all it has to be somewhere I can be productive.
Although I maybe a little while off achieving my very own home office I am determined that when I do finally break free of the tiny corner in the living room to work, I will try to do it in style!
