Keeping Our Kitchen Knives Sharp With AnySharpe Knife Sharpener

I don’t know about you but some jobs in the kitchen are always left till last.

The drain cleaning and oven cleaning of course end up being bottom of the list. But some job previously had never been done, in favour of buying new.

Knife sharpening is something I have always thought I didn’t really need. And in frustration turned to buying in new each time.

Knife Issues

I am not going to lie when we bought our coloured knives a few years back I fell in love with them because they are colourful. They were never sharp however and we soon got used to having blunt knives. Obviously this is not ideal with a household that adores making things especially pizza

In my husbands case it’s probably wise as he is notorious at damaging himself in the kitchen. However they have been more like butter knives than sharp kitchen implements and have driven me to distraction.

For the last 6 months my plan had been to get rid and buy new ones but everything I had come across was boring and bland so had been reluctant to buy boring ones.

AnySharp Knife Sharpener

Recently we were introduced to the AnySharp Knife Sharpener and if I am honest I was intrigued. After all when knives are as blunt as table knives there really is saving them is there?

Well, that’s what I first through. But first thoughts can be wrong.

Knife Sharpening

I was recently sent out a AnySharp Knife Sharpener and I was interested to find out if sharpening knives was really going to work.

The AnySharp Knife Sharpener has a clever suctioned bottom means you can secure it to any work totally flat surface to keep both hands free with a stable place to sharpen your knives.

The AnySharp works on virtually any knife, including expensive hardened steel knives and even serrated blades (like bread knives and hunting knives) It was easy to fix to the kitchen work top and I found it really secure to work with.

It was really easy to sharpen all my coloured knives by just running the blades through the sharpener.

You don’t need to add too much pressure. I found it sharpened all my knives with ease and after sharpening I just popped it off my worktop and put it into the cutlery drawer. As its small size makes it easy to store.

The AnySharp retails at about £8 so works out so much cheaper than replacing all your blunt knives!

Now we just need to keep our fingers clear and remember how sharp the knives are now!

We have one of these too and it’s amazing how much difference it makes, a lot cheaper than buying new knives. I like that it has a suction on the bottom so it doesn’t go anywhere x

That sounds like a fab device and affordable too! I could definitely do with a knife sharpener.

Gosh I’m ashamed to say I have never sharpened mine. Gosh that’s bad, this is a fab tool to get your sets back to new

We’ve had our kitchen knives forever and they are getting somewhat blunt, this looks like an easy way to bring them back to their best
