Since this is the very start of my food journey, recently while cooking my first recipes It became super obvious at how unprepared I was for this cooking malarkey.
So when the kind folks from Salter came to my rescue I have to say I am not sure how I thought I could do without such essential items!
First up was the Heston Blumenthal Adjustable rolling-pin …. wow!! I previously has a very old and very well used rolling-pin (although the use had not been down to me) and I have to say I love it .. I can now roll pastry without putting holes in it as this rolling-pin has really fancy depth guides. You unscrew the ends and adjust to either 3mm, 5mm or 8mm thickness and with its helpful width guides it really does make me feel far more in control, even if in actual fact I am not! (put it in the fridge and make it cold before using it glides over the pastry)

Next on the list of essentials is the Heston Blumenthal whisk … now I know to some this might sound strange that I am excited, however after and incident with a whisk and some scrambled egg and the floor I am sure you get the picture .. Its been nice to have a whisky that is sturdy and made light work of the job.
Last on the list is a first for me …Heston Blumenthal Precision Multipurpose Spatulas … spatulas are something I have never owned before but since getting these they have been super handy for me while adding cake toppings, getting out the dregs from the bottoms of pans and bowls and I am intending to do so much more.
These spatulas are dual ended and heat proof (up to 250 degrees °C (460°F) they are suitable for using with non stick cookware and if your lucky enough to have a dishwasher you can pop them in there too!
