Farmhouse Dresser Top Makeover Plan

FARMHOUSE DRESSER TOPAs most of you know I am fairly new to this whole interiors thing and having the urge to decorate and titivate our house on mass it will come as no surprise the cost that is involved can put me off.

So while looking for storage alternatives in my kitchen and finding nothing really that stood out I decided to take a look at e-bay and I stroke lucky with this beautiful pine farmhouse dresser top with its stunning detailing and hardwearing durability I was gobsmacked to be the winning bidder for less than £30 … although to hubs he wasn’t impress with my purchase as he can’t see how I could make this fit with our current kitchen.

I think my plan for this is just going to be a really basic titivation starting with a full sanding all over, followed by some off white furniture paint and finished with some wax. I don’t want multiple colours or ageing for this pieces as it certainly wouldn’t go with our already white kitchen.

Glass Storage JarsThis is officially going to be my first interior object titivation and I am rather excited! .. if nothing else I am hoping this beauty will ease some stress from my kitchen cupboards and allow me to show case the beautiful glass storage containers from Habitat I got just after Christmas.

I know its not going to hold them all but it would be nice to use them with my baking essentials in and on easy reach in my kitchen! .. Who knows maybe I will bake more?!

So here it is the start of my redecoration and repurpose mission .. Wish me luck after all if I am not good at this I will be lumbered with an ugly dresser top hanging off my kitchen wall … and know one wants that do they!
