Recently I was contacted about a super infographic on pasta and I have to admit I was slightly intimidated.
I have never claimed I know my pasta and I have to be honest and say I have no real idea on what pastas are made from and where they come from … I am also super set in my ways when it comes to pastas too with spaghetti, twists (fusilli) and penne being the families hardcore favourites.

So being ever the student I have been taking note of the infographic from the inspiring Jamie Oliver to help me learn and grow in the pasta department.
Ollie fell in love with tortellini while we were in Italy this summer but I am not a fan at all. I think it stems from my hatred of the dreaded “t-bags” at school so any filled pasta in my book is a no go. I am more traditional with my tastes like lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese and tuna pasta.
I do think that we need try more pastas so that is my mission over the coming months. To try many more pasta dishes and introduce the kids to more variety of pasta above and beyond my favourite dishes.
With trying more pasta dishes at the top of our agenda over the next few months here are some of the recipes I think the kids and I will love.
Do you have some family favourite pasta recipes?
