My journey into home interiors has been one that has been slow on the uptake and so it will come as no surprise that my knowledge is still fairly limited to whats on my doorstep, often finding a hidden gem of a store on my unplanned outings.
This is the case for HomeSense.
Although I have a super busy baby and parenting blog ( The Oliver’s Madhouse) this little area of the internet has been a piece just for me and discovering about my own likes and dislikes in interior and home aspects has been a learning curve but at least its been a fun one.
That being said this corner of my new found love has often been left a little neglected in comparison so when I was so very kindly invited to a complimentary Tots100/HIBS100 event that was hosted by HomeSense I jumped at the chance to find out about the brand and to reconnect with so many of my blogging inspirations in Birmingham this week.
I had the pleasure of travelling with the lovely Amanda from the Ana Mum Diary and the wonderful Jane from Maflingo, who was also our very kind driver for the night too (Thanks Jane)
As we chatted all things blogging in the car my nerves did kick in a little as I often feel out of my depth with such successful and creative influences however on arriving the smallish group there were wonderful, there was laughter and merriment and the Lost and Found venue itself was beautiful.
The folks from HomeSense were very welcoming and had laid out the most beautiful gold themed christmas table to showcase some of their wonderful wares but I left the event wanting to see more.
So this morning I dragged my husband kicking and screaming to our local Nottingham store to actually uncover more about what is sells and I have to say it wasn’t just me that left impressed.

With practically everything home, under one roof from toys to interiors we were kicking ourselves that we had not discovered this place of wonder before!

There were some amazing festive pieces on display and with a topic of discussion on the event night being snow globes I was thrilled to see so many in store! I literally could have become a snowglobe lady (is there such a thing?)

I need to say a massive thank you for the HIBS/TOTS teams and of course the HomeSense PR team for inviting me to a lovely event which has once again opened my eyes at what is out there for my home and to help me all even more in love with interiors.
You are welcome, lovely lady! I have to say, having you and Amanda to chat and giggle with made the evening even more fun!
