For me there is nothing more exciting than setting up a nursery, which is a good thing since I am now 8 months pregnant.
Over the last 6 months I set about on a home revamp and have tackled every single room in the house after lots of baby scans at the hospital we are as certain as we can be that this baby is a boy so this time instead of creating a neutral colour nursery we decided to make it baby blue from the start instead.

We had decided to reuse Joshua’s old cot from Kiddicare (Anna Cot) and we decided to reuse Joshua’s old bedroom curtains from his old room as they fit the baby blue theme perfectly.

I chose the Dulux Mineral Mist blue for the walls and went of the silk version so it helps bounce light round a fairly small room.

Since storage was an issue we bought some floating oak shelves to put on our babies bits and pieces.

We also fitted the Ikea night light and love it!
By reusing our old oak furniture from our bedroom transformation we saved a fortune and have adequate storage now for the baby.
Overall I am thrilled with what we have managed to achieve with a really limited outlay and the fact this room can grow with baby is a bonus in my book.
I was initially thinking of adding in a boarder but felt the room was too small and I also risked having to change this once baby was a toddler … so decided to keep it simple instead.
So now we have a nursery now we need to have a baby to fill it!
