Since attending an event with Friends of Glass 18 months ago it would be fair to say that I have found a new-found love of using glass more in the kitchen and getting rid of the plastic in favour of using Glass items when cooking and storing food.
After the Recipes in Glass event I came home and started looking at products that would help with our kitchen storage and I hadn’t realised just how many storage options there were in glass.
So I have been collecting my favourite glass storage solution ideas over the last 18 months in preparation to have them on show in the kitchen on shelving.
However Christmas of 2014 I did ask for a glass cake display stand with a lid and I ended up with 2, the one above is the one my Mum bought me and it has been fantastic as encouraging me to try baking cakes more and to actually ensure they look edible too!
After I finally cracked the shelving shortage by up cycling the farm house dresser top a few months ago I finally had some shelving in which to show off some fantastic glass storage jars and was thrilled when I ordered the Habitat Cuba storage jars, as they are super chunky and heavy but are so versatile that they hold anything!
Along with the fact they looked fantastic on the dresser it would be fair to say I am thrilled and so glad I made the investment into glass storage.
