*Advertorial Feature With MADE TO LAST*
Over the years I have had the responsibility of furnishing a home and I have had to make some expensive decisions from the external to the internal aspects.
I have on many of those occasions gone for the cheaper products much to my own disappointment a few months or years down the line when they fail and I have to re-buy. So when I was introduced to a company that I had never heard of I was really interested to discover more.
MADE TO LAST is not a normal retailer they understand what real value for money is and by that I mean they offer some amazing long term guarantees on their top quality products.
Often as buyers we go for the cheaper item for example we would buy the £400 with a 1 year guarantee instead of paying £1,000 for a much better quality item that also comes with a 15 year guarantee. See in this instance the £400 product is actually a false economy.
I am the first to admit that as a consumer I have spent most of my life basing purchases on price and not taking onboard what a false economy that can be.
So recently I changed our shopping choices to try and support local businesses and businesses here in the UK and buy quality products and not cheap for cheap sake. I have cried too many tears over products that have let me down in the past.
For me browsing the MADE TO LAST website for some bathroom wall lighting we are looking to upgrade on in the next few weeks I noticed that they are very upfront about the guarantees and each item shows how many years its covered by. I also love that all the products are manufactured in the British Isles and sold in Britain (some raw materials may come from other countries) Helping strengthen local industries and supporting craftspeople. This also means that as buyers we are not paying for the international shipping and transportation costs on the items we buy either.
I am so pleased we are now considering what we buy in more detail these days. I love MADE TO LAST’s ethos and I will certainly be taking a look at more of their products in the future, no more crying over a cheap chair again.
